HTML as email can sometimes really annoying. It’s easier to code some HTML for website instead for a simple HTML-based email.
For a website you have to check it on some browsers, the most used one like Firefox, MSIE , Opera, Safari and some browsers from Linux OS. But sometimes it’s enough only to check it on MSIE (6 and 7), Firefox (Win, Linux and Mac should show the same effect since it uses the same rendering engine), Safari (on Mac, but since there’s one for Windows should check on this one in the future).
But for a HTML-based email, how are you going to check if it has still the same layout. There’s plenty of email client out there, not including web-based email service. Since I have to code some pages based on TYPO3 for our costumer to send some “spam” using Direct Mail Extension, I know more or less some tips how to do this.
